Once the conditions and constrains was settled through early user research and prototype study, Sketch Storming is a great way for initially coming up with lots of ideas based on the research and the mass of internal components. This practice would be better to conduct in a ‘too quick to think’ manner, and it could help to come up with lots of ideas and concepts to explore further. 

Form generation process in the context of Industrial Design is a practice in Design Foundation studio. One of my student did the last one while finishing this assignment,  I threw it in to state the point, don’t be prisoned by the guideline.
